Scripture – Observation – Application – Prayer
Scripture:
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. (Hebrews 10:24 NLT)
Observation:
We are to come up with ways to motivate (provoke KJV) each other to do acts of love and good works.
Application:
This is not something that just happens, we have to consciously make ourselves think about ways to motivate each other. Instead of just wasting idle time or trying to fill every moment with things that please ourselves, maybe we should take some of our “Walter Mitty” imagination time to think on ways to motivate each other to love one another better and to do the good works God would have us to do.
Prayer:
Father, help me to take the time needed to think on these things. Help me to creative in coming up with ways to motivate myself and others to love each other more and to encourage others to good works. Let me lead in this area by example and not just words.
