Scripture – Observation – Application – Prayer

Scripture:

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. (1 Peter 1:3, 4 NLT)

Observation:

All praise goes to our God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, because it was because of his mercy and not our favor that we have been born again because he first raised Jesus from the dead. We can live with great expectation toward living in a perfect heaven because of what He has done for us.

Application:

First and foremost we must always recognize that the hope that we have and the salvation we received were not because of something we did to deserve these things. It was all done by God the father and he in his great love showed us mercy. He gave this hope of heaven to us through what he did for us. He gave his son, Jesus died on the cross, he raised Jesus from the dead, and God has provided us an opportunity to receive the gift of not on lye heaven in our future, but also hope in our present day. Because of this He alone gets all the praise.

Prayer:

Father, I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for me. You made all the provisions for me to be born again and my hope for life everlasting is your work and your gift to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you… Let me continually praise you!
