2009 General Council Motorcycle Ride - Thursday Aug 6 9:00-11:30 AM with optional lunch following. Approximately 100 mile ride. Starts near the Council Site/Convention Ctr with a halfway stop for refreshments and gas. Crosses over one of the highest points in Florida, has a few hills and curves. Great ride and fellowship! 37 FREE Courses Available from Global University for the incarcerated, just download the free coupons and mail them to the interested inmates. First they will receive "The Great Questions of Life" which is a six-lesson course for people who want to know more about the nature of God and what is happening to the world. When they mail that back they will be able to go through the 18 courses in the Christian Life Series and then the 18 courses in the Christian Service Series. Each time they send a lesson back, Chaplain Bob Durham will send them the next lesson in the series. Church in a biker bar? 
Janet and Duane are certified to do PREP Marriage Seminars and have brought wives into the prison to go through the marriage retreat with their husbands. Why? 85% of marriages that survive prison fail within the first 12 months. Those who stay married are more likely to NOT re-offend. We are also trying to get started doing these seminars on the outside with parolees. Interestingly, the first time Duane was invited to a three piece patch biker clubhouse was becauase a couple was having marriage problems.
